Saint Diego aka Whale's Vag (Anchorman Reference)

Ah yes, good ol' San Diego. It was awesome taking a weekend jaunt down to visit Jerry, Krysia and Brian for the weekend. Plus it was Brian's 29th birthday so I got to enjoy the festivities.

Once again, my flight was delayed - I don't know if you remember, but I had a delay when I went down to LA to visit Charleen. This time I flew Virgin America, and it was delayed a little over 2 hours! How frustrating, the worst was that I was told there was a mechanical malfunction and they had to fly in a part from LA! (Of course, after sitting through hours of engineering courses, images such as this

come to mind...altho, luckily everyone survived that one, unfortunately my imagination isn't as optimistic)

However, I arrive in San Diego, no harm done, just tired and ready for bed.

Saturday, Jerry and I got up and went for a run around the neighborhood, got some lunch and went shopping with Krysia to prepare for Brian's bonfire birthday party in Mission Bay.

We made him a very special cake, here's Krysia putting on the finishing touches (with her fingers! ewww!)

of course, the rest of our $1 store barbie rip-off was a great compliment to Brian's gift

Bonfire!

Oh, and Jerry brought some money to burn

That's how he gets all the ladies

Brian liked his cake...but honestly, who wouldn't!?

Then since we had such a hard time lighting the special candles we got for the cake, we made a call and had Sea World set off some fireworks...you know, we spare no expense

Some more bonfire shots

Plus, what bonfire wouldn't be complete without dumb attempts at breaking big plywood boards? Or jump kicking some newspapers?!

After the bonfire we made our way to the Turf Supper Club, where they have this really awesome wallpaper

Plus you cook your own food on this grill in the middle of the room

And they have a jukebox, which Krysia invested in wisely.
All in all, a fantastic night!

The rest of the weekend was pretty lazy, we got brunch, played Guitar Hero and met up with friends for Sushi. I only wish I could have stayed the week!
