i'm really glad i did. i would have been sad to miss out on some of the great stuff i saw. and i wanted to buy so much of it. why can't i be independently wealthy? oh wait, then i'd probably be a stuck up piece of shit with no real friends like all of you! wait. that's such a stereotype for me to throw out there.
what the fuck is going on here?
oh, right, here's some of the people i saw/places i went and stuff you should checkity check!!
i started it off with a tip from erikka, she insisted i went to the museum of modern renaissance

whew, that's all i grabbed cards for, i'm sure i missed out on a lot of other great artists too. the things is, they do these open studios throughout boston and surrounding areas all spring through fall. there were apparently over 300 artists that participated in this thing alone. point being, there is so much great art just in the boston area alone.
speaking of which, my sister happened upon this guy greg stones at the mayfair event in harvard square. he does watercolor paintings, but not just any watercolor paintings, stuff like:
five penguins, one hatchet
and pug, snowman, zombie
cool.
